Creating A Precinct Page

Plan Your Page

Watch the Video

The 8:42 minute video features Will Scott and Mark Healy of Del Rio precinct explaining the What/Why/How of getting your own Precinct Page up and running. There is a PDF Video Guide and a slightly more concise PDF list of URLs for your convenience.

Identify Your Audience

Who/What is this page for? is it to communicate with the PCs in your precinct? Is it to communicate with other precincts? Is it to communicate with your voters?
I would recommend that you look at some of the existing Precinct Pages for ideas.

Identify Contact

Who in your precinct is going to be responsible for keeping this page up-to-date? Who are the active PCs? Are all of you going to create content, or assign someone to be responsible?
Build Your Page

Precinct Email

Create a Precinct Email with a forwarder to key PCs. The purpose of this email is 1) to protect your personal emails from spam, 2) to provide a trusted email for your voters to respond to 3) an archive of all the communications. Proton mail offers a $4/month option that supports forwarding.

Gather Materials

Collect the images, names of PCs, any documentation you want displayed on your page to be sent to webmaster.
Contact Webmaster

Request Precinct Page

contact form (at right) is for requesting a new Precinct Page to be created by the webmaster.
Do not try to attach any documents, just the Precinct Name, the contact name, and Precinct Email.

The webmaster will respond through email and then you can attach documents.

Precinct Page Request

  • Creating QR Codes

This step is optional – I will create the initial QR code when I create your precinct webpage, but if you wish to make different artistic choices you can do so.

    To create a QR code:

    Generate QR Codes using QRCode-Monkey.com

The Colors I used for the 2 color option: #FD0606 #0B17F8
you can do monochrome as well

Use either the Elephant.jpg (red background) or Elepant_2.jpg (white background) as logo

    Logo Images

You can either download them, or just reference the URL when using QRCode-Monkey
