LD12 Monthly Meeting on 11 Feb 2025
Greg Dutton recognized the outstanding PC's for 2024 and presided over a well run meeting with officer reports, video of last six months events, announcement of precinct captain's working group, before adjourning to listen to Justin Heap (Maricopa County Recorder) and Mark Stewart (Maricopa Board of Supervisors).

Greg Dutton had the BOD stage tables re-arranged to allow better viewing of the single center screen. Two of the high side screens have been removed from the front stage. The BOD seating on stage and equipment blocked some of the slides and presentation media for some members of the audience. Future presentations will be adjusted to insure important information is viewable by the members.

Patty Porter (First Vice Chair) discussed her Passion Projects and brought the Outstanding PC's on stage so Greg Dutton could hand each one certificates of recognition.
Outstanding PC's: Caroline Coler, Chevy Franz, Diane Feldhacker, Chip Lewis, Alice Mercer, Ceresse Nada, Carrie Heikkala, Carole, Wilson.
PC of the Year: Nancy Durband
Sign-up to volunteer with Passion Projects on one of the LD12 website home page top "hot" buttons.
Kurt Gearhart - 4th Vice Chair presented a video of LD12 activities from pre-election thru January 2025 combined with news events, memes, press releases, and videos. If you haven't seen it, it's a good review of our success ovee the last 6 months and highlights Donald Trump as president.

Justin Heap, the Maricopa county recorder discusses his efforts over the last four weeks as the new county recorder. Although the Maricopa Board of Supervisors blind-sided him by removing much of his control over elections, he has been busy with the remainder of his duties. He recently removed 242,000 inelligble voters from the Maricopa voter roles (about %12 of those on the roles). During Q & A, MCRC Chairman Craig Berland informed Mr. Heap that certain mandatory requests for public information from the county are no longer being honored and should be one of his immediate priorities. Mr. Heap responded he was somewhat aware that these issues were not being addresses by the Board of Supervisors as they moved those functions to the BOS prior to the 2024 election. We should hear more on this soon.

Mark Stewart, Board of Supervisors discusses his efforts over the last four weeks as a new member of the Board. He seems to be on the right foot with a good knowledge of what needs to be done.
Food Drive Continues – St Mary’s Food Bank
We collect non-perishables in the church lobby prior to our monthly meeting. LD12 was featured in the Ahwatukee News for donations made over the last year at our monthly meetings. Let's see if we can donate even more in 2025!
